I purchased this product based on the positive reviews I found on Amazon and elsewhere. My previous set of cookware was Anolon non-stick. It lasted about 6 years and I was generally pretty happy with it but I decided I wanted stainless. I originally purchased a set of All-Clad but returned it after I discovered Cuisinart Multiclad Pro at 1/3 the price. However, now that these pots are rusting I am second guessing my decision.

When the set first arrived the cookware seemed somewhat lighter than All-Clad but otherwise looked great. The first time I tried to boil water I noticed it took much longer, and I had to use a higher heat, than with my Anolon. I was a bit perplexed by this since everything in the Cuisinart instructions says to use a lower heat since it conducts so well. Apparently high heat will stain/discolor any stainless steel. But if the water won't boil the only thing to do is crank up the heat.

Other than the heating problem I have had some issues with sticking. I am sure some of this has to do that I am a novice when it comes to cooking with stainless. I am pre-heating the pan so that is not the problem. I am also experiencing a white, chalky residue in the bottom/sides of these pans. I am not sure if this has to do with the hard water in my area, the types of foods I am cooking (starchy pastas, potatoes, etc) or what. But I find myself having to frequently bust out the BKF (Bar Keepers Friend) to keep them looking clean. I guess the reality is that stainless is never going to be as easy to clean as non-stick.

However, the biggest problem I am having with this cookware is that the lids have started rusting. Most of the rust is contained to the lid handle and the area where the handle is riveted to the lid. The only logical explanation for this is that the lid is not 100% 18/10 stainless steel. I have found at least one other online reviewer who described this exact same problem. Apparently these pots used to be made in Korea but my set was made in China. I can only assume that the quality has gone down considerably in recent years vs. when the bulk of the positive reviews were written.

There is a lifetime warranty on the set so I am going to contact Cuisinart this week to see what they will do for me. If you are in the market for high-quality, lower cost stainless steel cookware you might want to try an alternative like Tramontina.

I liked the cookware set. It cooks meat well. Scrambled eggs tend to stick if you do not use enough oil in the pan. All in all I would recomend it to my friends. I think the price is real good for the quality of the product.

After reading the concerns with nonstick (I guess I'm a little behind on news!), I decided to switch to SS. So far, I've been very happy with my decision, and extremely happy with the quality of the product. It does take a little getting used to. I found that it does make a big difference immediately after cooking, to remove the food and rinse the pan or soak if needed. I have a gas burner and must keep on medium low or low. The handles do tend to get hot if I'm cooking for a long time, but have now ordered a 5.5 quart to add to my collection! I would definitely recommend this set.

My husband I received the set as a wedding gift in October 2008. These are my favorite pans and they are a GREAT set that will last for long time! Stainless steel clad is the way to go! While they clean up way better than I expected (we had nonstick in the past), they don't clean up as well as my All Clad 4Qt braiser. Just a simple wipe down will do with the all clad. Unfortunately all clad is not wallet-friendly so I am completely happy with my cuisinart multiclad pro until I win the lottery :) Maybe i will try some barkeepers friend on my cuisinart to see if they clean up best.

I do think the 8Qt stockpot is way too big for everyday purposes, and I think this set could use 1 extra saucepan in the 2Qt ssize (what can I say we cook alot and use tons of pans) I will be asking for a 6Qt stockpot and 2Qt saucepan for chanukkah this year!

I got one piece of this set to see if it was good and it is Quality stuff so i gave the piece as a gift and bought this set and it is amazing easy to cook on and clean shines right up with some bar keepers friend and no harmful Teflon and heats nice and fast just start at lower temps esle your burn you eggs or whatever you may be cooking still looking mighty fine after a year of use and one pan even was left on a burn set on high and forgot about by a room mate he thought it was gonna need replacing but after a long cool down and some TLC with bar keepers friend it was good to go the out steel is still a hint of gold but the cookin side was fine amazing stuff highly recommend for it's price and its price is low enough not to hate yourself if if ya burn a pan or somehow manger to mar these puppies but they are built to last one thing to know is the lids have a mirror finish and any thing short of microfiber towel will probably put some hairline scratchs in em like my plastic Brillo did no biggie unless your the anal-retentive chef

I must say that I was delightfully surprised at the quality of this set. With the 18/10 steel, the riveted handles and the overall weight of these pans, all are better than I expected, and I had high expectations. They work well, and will certainly last a lifetime. If you're leaning towards A11-C1ad, do yourself a favor and buy these instead. With the money remaining you could buy a car. OK, maybe a new computer.

This multiclad cookware is a great buy. I cannot say that it is the equal to All Clad but at a fraction of the price it sure makes a great alternative. If you just cannot bring yourself to spend afortune on your cokware this is the next best thing!

I needed a new set of cookware because I was tired of my cheap non-stick cookware scraping off in my food. I also just wanted a nice stainless steel set that would last me the rest of my lifetime, and could also be passed down to my daughter. This set will definitely do that. It is such high quality-- you can tell by not only looking at them, but also just by picking them up. The pots and pans are a nice size and a nice weight.

After having cooked with these, I am extremely happy with the outcome of my food. Sticking hasn't been a problem. Sure some foods will stick a little, but that happens with just about any pan. For the first time in a long time, I enjoy cooking.

Cleanup has been a dream. Soap, water, and a dishrag and you're done in just a few minutes. Yes they're dishwasher safe, but I don't even want to put them in there.. I enjoy hand-washing them because it's so effortless!

Overall, I could not be happier with my cookware purchase. I know these pots and pans will stand the test of time. I highly recommend them.

I have been hosting parties and weddings for many years with my sister and we do serious cooking. We both live in million dollar homes and have professionally designed kitchens.
She has the All Clad set of pans (which are great) but I did not want to spend $1000 to replenish my outdated pots and pans.
So-I researched all different sets based on the "Clad" standard trying to find a less expensive option.
I am VERY happy with this choice and highly recommend it. When we compared the two side by side there was not much difference and after using them I can say it was worth all the research.
If you have the money and have your heart set on the name of All Clad then go right ahead because they are awesome but after using the Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Set I wouldn't waste the extra money.
Who doesn't love a bargain??!!!

I purchased these for myself and wish I hadn't. They do not clean up well and I have never put them in the dishwasher because I am afraid they will look even worse. They have a purple haze and porous dots that show up. I have tried cleaning them with the things they say to use and no luck. They are also extremely heavy for me as I have MS. They look great on the outside but thats about it.
